In our lives, there are so many sources of noise and confusion. My motive for having this blog is to provide a source of quiet for your mind and more importantly, for your soul. I want every post to be wrapped in calm assurance in God's love.

What's my biggest fear? Well, aside from spiders, I guess I'm afraid of not accomplishing what I'm meant to do with my life. I'm afraid of running out of time to do my life's work, whatever that is. I mean, I want to get married and have a family, but to do that, you have to have a husband. I don't know about you, but I've noticed that to get a husband, you have to get married. And before that, you have to do all kinds of things like find the right guy (or let him find you), become friends with him, date him, fall in love with him, become engaged, plan the wedding, and then shell over all kinds of money for the huge event. Whew! Then comes the next phase (not speaking from experience here). You settle into your new life together, try to get along, work out the problems, and then you start having children. You have to get used to your new bundles of joy, and work out the issues there too.
Yesterday I was shopping and I was noticing that there were a great abundance of products that had celebrities' pictures on them. This is nothing new. But it struck me with new force that their only intent is to get us, the consumers, to buy what the celebrity's face is on. Why is their face on it? Their name? Do they actually use it? Nobody is going to look like them, because no one is computer-edited and generated in real life. I realize that I am asking a lot of questions here, but maybe you should consider doing that when you shop. Ask questions. Why do you want to buy this? Is it really all that it says it is? I...
+ J.M.J. mediabistro.com Okay, so yeah, the title of this post is pretty much a joke. I'm not a minimalist. I heard once how a saint, when he or she wanted to acquire a certain virtue, acted as if he or she had it already. This is how new habits are formed. You act like you own it already, and then, over time, it will become yours. So pretty much I want to be a minimalist. The fact that I'm not, well, that's irrelevant I guess. I want to be one so badly. I want my life to be simpler. I've been surrounded by clutter either by my own making or other's my entire life and I want it to stop. I'm not saying that everywhere I've been has been cluttered. A lot of places aren't, and those places make me feel peaceful. I'm saying that clutter doesn't help me, and the only way I've been able to discover that is to be in simple surroundings. Simple really is better. I truly believe that. Think of how this world was created. There was a ...
