Spring Fashion 2015 Part I

+ J.M.J. Hey there! I had a request to do more fashion posts, so here you go! This is part I of a series because spring is such a fun time and there are so many options out there! I am here to sift through them for you to help you discover a look of your own that is functional, stylish, modest, and feminine. What a fun belt! I don't often wear belts. The darker wash of jeans dresses up the whole outfit. This is a lot of orange, but it works because the neutral white and denim balances it all out. The flats are so cute. A handbag is essential, and a scarf is still acceptable and useful in springtime weather. This one is more dressed up and dressed down at the same time. It is a perfect blend of chic and casual. The top is so feminine and "flowy," yet the jacket gives it a very tailored and finished look. The lighter wash of jeans makes this outfit not too dressed up, but you could also wear darker denim or slacks if you were going somewhere very fancy.  ...

Hello spring, it’s so nice to see you! Warmer weather, longer days, blooming flowers — there are so many reasons to love this season. But above all this, the spring is a wonderful opportunity for a fresh start. After a long, cold, sometimes difficult winter we could often use a clean slate. Susan J. Bissonette once said, “An optimist is the human personification of spring.” So why not take this time to incorporate some spring practices into your life Here are some ideas: Say hello to spring cleaning:  It’s time to go through your closet and get rid of the stuff you no longer want. Here is a general rule I have for myself; if I can’t remember the last time I wore it, it no longer zips up (see number 2), or it’s no longer the color it was when I bought it, it’s time to toss! Besides, then you’ll have an excuse to pick up a few fresh things next time you’re at the mall. Out with the old, in with the new!
