Movie Review: Guardians of the Galaxy

+ J.M.J. As I was sitting in the theatre with my friends watching this movie, one of them noted that it was like watching Lord of the Rings and Star Wars at the same time. I quite agree with this friend's analogy. There was a lot of violence and rudeness in this movie which I did not care for. I don't normally watch movies about superheroes. I thought I'd give this one a chance. It turns out that the film had a couple of rather redeeming qualities. A group of five were working together to save the galaxy from the evil Ronan. Now you know why the word "guardians" is in the title; they were guarding the galaxy. I digress. Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot (a tree with a three-word vocabulary), and Rocket (an evil racoon that will forever change the way I see racoons) are a team. This team has selfish interests at first, and they are thrown together by circumstance. Then they realize the worthiness of their cause and how well they fight together. Friendsh...
