Truth is scarce these days. And it's becoming an expensive rarity. People are becoming more aware of the fact that lies are seen oftentimes on the printed page, especially in newspapers and the media. Unfortunately, most of us trust in our news sources. They usually don't deserve our trust. News anchors have dollars signs for eyes. Those entrusted with distributing the news are only out for the sensational story, the daring escapades and the scandalous "misprints."
Newspapers are purchased out of force of habit. They are perused every morning with reckless abandon as individuals sip their expensive coffee drinks. It doesn't have to be this way.
I want to change journalism and broadcasting for the better. I want to bring truth back, for it has had too long of a vacation. I realize that I can only change things when I'm at the top, and the way there will be rocky and full of unpleasant tasks. I am not afraid. I can do this with God's help, and the help of supportive family and friends.
