When Boston Leaves You Reeling
You may not have witnessed the explosions in Boston yesterday, but you still "saw" them in the media. It was all over the news. And for good reason. People died and were injured. People lost their loved ones. The family that lost that eight year old boy also had the mother suffer brain damage and a daughter lose a leg. Why? No one knows. What good can come out of all this evil? We don't know. We may become more united than ever as a country. The perpetrators may come to light. But in the end, lives were lost and shattered. Changed forever. An activity as innocent as a marathon, people coming together to exercise in the sunshine and those watching them were marred quick as a wink. We pray for everyone involved.
Being up in Boston, it's been crazy here. But there has been some good. Mass was completely packed by us college students, most who haven't gone in a long time. Sure most are just reactionary Christians but there will be some who are positively changed by this.
